SBI Foundation has partnered with Devi Sansthan to provide foundational literacy skills to 10,000 illiterate adults (15-60 years old) and out-of-school children (6-14 years) in Hindi under the Global Dreamshaala Web-Based Literacy Project initiative in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
The Literacy Now app enables teachers and volunteers to conduct interactive assessments and deliver interactive content including videos and games to teach FLN in an enjoyable and effective manner. The app will also enable partner organizations like governments, schools and NGOs to use large-scale data for decision-making. DEVI Sansthan has received a grant from State Bank of India Foundation to develop the app and interactive content.
HCL Foundation: The project aims to impact nearly 100,000 adult learners in Hardoi district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India, through 2 projects. The first project will develop foundational literacy, numeracy and financial literacy among illiterate women who are part of Self Help Groups (SHGs) who will be taught by community women volunteers. The second project will target neo-literates through a shorter refresher program on foundational literacy and numeracy. A one month pilot implementation of the program was successfully completed in January 2022 with 1500 learners. The program is being scaled up in 2022-23.
M3M - DEVI Sansthan has joined hands with M3M Foundation and signed an MOU for the implementation and advancement of FLN in 10 identified schools in Shamli district, Uttar Pradesh.
IIMPACT has partnered with DEVI Sansthan to mobilize and motivate mothers from the economically and socially backward rural areas of West Bengal (Two blocks Murshidabad and Diamond Harbor), and put them firmly on the track of literacy through quality primary education. This initiative aims to understand the relevance of education of mother's in the literacy level of their children.
DEVI Sansthan partnered with SBI Life to adopt slums of Indiranagar, Lucknow for accelerating foundational literacy and numeracy for the children of these slums. Literacy Labs are set up and literacy volunteers use the ALfA Pedagogy to teach these childern and act as motivators and galvanizers in making them literate.
